Why CKM Cyber Exists
CKM Cyber was founded on a straightforward premise: too many organizations — especially small and mid-size defense contractors — are navigating complex cybersecurity requirements without access to the kind of experienced, practical guidance that larger enterprises take for granted.
After years working inside defense and federal IT environments, I saw firsthand how the gap between compliance paperwork and real security outcomes could leave organizations exposed. CMMC, NIST 800-171, and similar frameworks are valuable — but only when implemented by someone who understands both the letter and the spirit of the requirements.
CKM Cyber exists to close that gap. As a solo practitioner, every engagement gets my direct attention — no junior staff, no hand-offs. You work with the person whose name is on the door.
Beyond consulting, I believe in giving back to the cybersecurity community through adjunct instruction and mentoring. The next generation of security professionals deserves guidance from people who have actually done the work.
